Committees

The Township Planning Committee consists of 5 appointed Township residents whom hear zoning request changes in the unincorporated area within O’Fallon Township. Requests are first submitted to the County then they forward the information to the Township to schedule the hearing. The Planning Committee then submits their recommendation to the O’Fallon Township Board. At the next Township Board meeting, the board votes to either approve or deny the request based on the findings from the Planning Committee hearing. The results are then submitted to the County whom makes the final decision.

Senior Committee Meeting

The O’Fallon Township Senior Committee meets on the 4th Tuesday of each month.  The meeting begins at 3:00 pm at the O’Fallon Township Building in the Hall.

The Senior Committee plans dinners for Township Seniors residing within the boundaries of O’Fallon Township.  Tickets can be purchased for $3 each.  At each event the seniors get a great catered meal, entertainment and a chance to win prizes.  All dinners begin at 5:30 p.m.

Senior Daytime Events

O’Fallon Township additionally sponsors 5 daytime events through out the year to coincide with various holidays.  To attend you have to be a resident of O’Fallon Township and at least 60 years of age.  These events are free of charge but do require advanced reservation to attend.  Attendees’ will be treated to finger foods, play bingo for prizes and receive attendance prizes.

All senior daytime events are at the O’Fallon Township Office beginning at 10 a.m. till 1 p.m.

The O’Fallon Township Youth Committee operates out of the O’Fallon Township building where students from O’Fallon Township High School and a handful of adults hosts a variety of activities for the youth and elderly of O’Fallon throughout the year—one being the Fishing Derby held at the Sportsman’s Club every summer. Entire families show up for this event and enjoy the morning competing for various prizes and trophies. The Youth Committee also hosts a ‘Take a Senior to the Ball Game’ every Fall. Both Youth Committee members and Senior Citizens attend a Cardinal’s game funded totally by our group.

The Youth Committee also donates money to worthwhile groups and functions during the year. For instance, contributions to OTHS on a year-to-year basis are given to their BLIZZARD event as well as the Robotics Club. The Youth Committee is also a main contributor to the yearly After-Prom Party.
